UAA Administrative Scholarship 

Spring 2020 UAA Administrative Scholarship Deadline:
Monday, January 20, 2020

The University Honors College grants a limited number of partial scholarships in the form of tuition awards each year. These competitive awards are available to both new and continuing University Honors students. To be eligible to receive a partial tuition scholarship from the University Honors College, a student must have applied for and been accepted to a baccalaureate degree program at the University of Alaska Anchorage, and must be admitted to and enrolled in the University Honors College.

• Continuing Students Eligibility and Requirements
  - Applied for and been accepted into a baccalaureate degree program
  - Cumulative UAA GPA of 3.2 or higher
  - Be registered for at least 3 credits in the semester that the scholarship is to be applied
  - Write a letter* to Dean John Mouracade discussing your progress through your degree plan and through the Honors College.  Be sure to explain where you are in meeting your degree and honors requirements and how you will make progress in the coming semester.. This letter must be submitted in person or electronically in Portable Document Format (PDF). Please include your UA student ID on the letter.
• Incoming Students Eligibility and Requirements
  - All incoming Honors students are encouraged to apply. Scholarships will be granted on the basis of merit.
  - Be registered for at least 3 credits in the semester that the scholarship is to be applied
  - Write a letter* to Dean John Mouracade discussing achievements, future goals, activities and accomplishments. This letter must be submitted in person or electronically in Portable Document Format (PDF).

Students are encouraged to apply as early as possible.

Applications can be delivered or mailed to Rasmuson Hall, Suite 103 or emailed to uaa_honors@uaa.alaska.edu.

*The letter to the Dean serves as the application for the scholarship. We do not have a separate application form or cover sheet.
