Purpose

 To specify an exception to the referenced procedure for mobile communication devices

Definitions

Sponsorship Agreement: A contract in which a third-party organization provides financial support, products, or services in exchange for marketing or advertising considerations.

Policy

General

As an exception to the referenced procedures, mobile phones and services may be provided to Athletic Department employees under a sponsorship agreement. This exclusion exists on the condition that the phones are provided as an integral part of the sponsorship agreement and no state funds are used to purchase the phones or services.
