Definitions
Fund Raising: Activities which raise monies through a request for donations.
Solicitation: The charging of admission or the selling of goods and/or services.
Policy
General
All sales, solicitations or fund raising for whatever purpose are prohibited unless authorized in writing by a designated university administrator. Prohibited sales and solicitation activities include:
Unauthorized persons or groups selling products may be subject to eviction proceedings or other penalties.
With the following exceptions, the authority to approve or disapprove activities and requests involving sales, solicitations or fund raising for whatever purpose on the university campus is vested in the Director of Business Services.
All funds received by university units shall be deposited in appropriate accounts under policies issued by the Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services. Information concerning the administration of gifts to the university may be obtained from the Vice Chancellor for University Advancement. |
