The Rasmuson Foundation is dedicated to improving the quality of life for all Alaskans and has generously awarded UAA a $100,000 challenge grant to support increased alumni giving through eligible gifts made to UAA by Dec. 31, 2007.

An important opportunity for UAA alumni
As a UAA alum, you know the quality of education you received.  You know how your classes inspired and challenged you, and how your degree allowed you to find rewarding work in Alaska.  Perhaps you have considered how to give back and support the next generation of successful students of your alma mater.

Now is your opportunity to give back with double the impact!
Through a special challenge grant from the Rasmuson Foundation, you have the opportunity to give to UAA and double your impact.  Any new gift or pledge of $1,000 made by a UAA alumnus over the next year will be matched in full.  If the gift is an increased gift from last year to $1,000, the increased portion will be matched.

Why should I give?
Through the contributions of donors like you, UAA creates opportunities for teaching, learning and services that would not otherwise be available.  Donations provide scholarships for deserving students, unique research opportunities and enhancements to programs of excellence.

Where will my money go?
Anywhere you choose!  Your donation will go directly to the school, college or program of your choice; or you may request that your gift be applied to the area of greatest need.  Likewise, the eligible match will support the same area as that of your initial gift.

How do I make a gift?
You may give by check, cash or credit card.  You may give a lump sum, or make a pledge and spread your gift.  The pledge card provides options, payment methods and designations to the program or college you want to support.

What about accountability?
As a donor of UAA, you will receive timely and appropriate acknowledgement, recognition and the assurance that your gift is used for the purposes for which it is given.

We account for, acknowledge and steward our donors on a fiscal year giving basis, July 1 - June 30.
