The university wordmarks are graphic representations of the university's name that enhance recognition and establish an identity when used consistently throughout the university. Similar to a corporation's trademark, the wordmark is the primary visual identifier for our institution. Depending on the application, use one of the four official wordmarks on official university stationery, business cards, brochures, newsletters, flyers, signs, and other visual media to identify the University of Alaska Anchorage.
Whenever a wordmark is used, the following rules apply:
- The complete wordmark must be used.
- The wordmark must not be altered or distorted in any way.
- The wordmark should not be combined with another emblem or symbol, unless it is a combination of symbol and wordmark already within the image system (see download page).
- Type should not touch the wordmark or be superimposed over it.
- The wordmark must be placed so no other text or visual element is in close proximity.
- Only images of the wordmark of reproduction quality may be used.
These images are available from the Advancement Office website in camera-ready and electronic format.
