WE'RE HERE TO SERVE AND ASSIST YOU! The Advising and Testing Center at the University of Alaska Anchorage provides assistance to students in three specific areas: academic advising, career advising and testing and assessment. Academic Advising
The Advising and Testing Center provides academic advising for: Associate of Arts (AA) degree students; undeclared baccalaureate students; and non-degree-seeking students. This includes helping students choose courses and making sure degree requirements are met.
Career Advising
The Center provides career advising to assist current and prospective students with career exploration. Students work with counselors to review such issues as choosing college majors, employment outlook, and educational requirements for various career fields.
Testing and Assessment
The Testing and Assessment department supports many of the testing needs of UAA in addition to serving as a national testing center for the community. It administers a wide range of testing and assessment instruments used for admission, awarding of college credits, and professional certification.
