New Student Orientation  We are excited about your decision to go to college! The University of Alaska Anchorage is a great place to pursue your academic goals. Starting college does not have to be confusing and challenging. Howl Days is our new student orientation program, designed to help you transition to college life. We will navigate the way to college success! Howl Days will afford you the opportunity to meet other new students, get accurate information about life at UAA, and relieve common anxieties about starting college.

SWAP - Students Who Are Parents Group Discussion group meet at the Tanaina Child Development Center by the Student Union.

Guidance A150 "Survival Skills for College Students" - This course comes highly recommended for first time freshman and returning students who want to make a connection to the University. It promotes confidence, knowledge, and develops habits necessary to be a successful student.

Counseling A101 "Introduction to Career Exploration" - Gain a better understanding of today’s world of work.  Learn how to take stock of your knowledge, skills and abilities & leverage that information to find “your natural fit?”   And finally, learn the A to Z’s on using www.akcis.org; a powerful website to explore career and educational resources in Alaska and nationwide.  Join us!
