AEIN's work has developed along several strands: using data wisely, embedding culturally responsive practice, building capacities for learning communities, collective focus on improvement, authentic partnership, networked learning and leadership. Together these strands support the six domains in Alaska' self study tool as well as the findings of the University of Chicago Study.

School improvement is complex work. Here you will find a matrix that outlines the research base for our work. The AEIN matrix is aligned to school improvement.
