Biological Sciences - Anatomy Courses

The University of Alaska Anchorage proudly sponsors an annual program of continuing education courses in the anatomical sciences. Courses in this program are designed for professionals working in the health care field and will be of particular interest to physical, occupational and speech therapist/assistants. Continuing educational units (CEUs) are available. Each course is designed to actively involve participants in a hands-on educational experience. Courses utilize case-based learning strategies, lectures, and human cadaver dissections in a medical gross anatomy laboratory. A functional approach to anatomy is emphasized throughout. The instructional team includes anatomists and clinicians. Feedback from our previous clinical courses has been incorporated into a design for greater continued applicability to clinical review and specificity.
