Includes three workstations with ArcMap 10.0, ERDAS, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop software, in addition to a flatbed scanner, drafting table, printer, surveying equipment, and drafting supplies. 





KERRY D. FELDMAN CULTURAL ANTHROPOLOGY LABORATOCultural-Lab_1RY
The department's cultural anthropology laboratory has three computers with ATLAS software for qualitative analysis, and two of which also have digital video editing capabilities.  The lab includes equipment for converting VHS to digital format, scanners, and voice recorders, in addition to a collection of reports on Alaska Native subsistence resources. 



Archaeology labARCHAEOLOGY LABORATORIES
The Anthropology Department operates three archaeological laboratories on the UAA campus.  The labs include workspace, reference libraries, photographic equipment, electrolysis, archaeological and faunal collections, and artifact storage.  The departments's zooarchaeological comparative collection specializes in large-mammal and Holocene-era fauna.  The Cultural Resource Management (CRM) Lab, added in 2004, additionally holds the Alaska Consortium of Zooarchaeology collection, which specializes in marine fauna of Alaska's southern coast.



GIS LABGIS-Lab_1
Our department has recently opened a Geographic Information Systems Laboratory for Anthropology graduate students, with four workstations and flatbed scanner.  Anthropology also shares a 20-workstation GIS lab with the Department of Geography and Environmental Studies, also located in Beatrice McDonald Hall.  The UAA campus additionally offers several computer labs, including a large GIS facility administered by the Geomatics Department.  



GRADUATE STUDENT WORKSPACE
The Anthropology Department offers a study space for graduate students with two computer workstations and a shared office for the teaching assistants.
