THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW

It is highly reccommended that students see their adivsor at least once an academic year. Ms. Passarello is here through the summer to help with advising for the upcoming year. Make sure you schedule some time with her to make sure you're pointed in the right direction!  

  •  Annie Passarello, Student Advisor for Biological and Natural Sciences majors. Annie has a degree in Earth/Science and has worked in many fields, including outdoor recreation, park ranger, writer, and college advisor. Information for Annie:  Office: CPSB room 102E, M-F from 9:00am to 5:30pm. Audrey Jo Malone, Student and Graduate Program Administrative Assistant, Biological Sciences Dept. Audrey's office is the place to go for student related information. Need a override for a class? Need to drop off a petition? 
Are you a new student hire with Biology? Come see Audrey! She has worked for UAA for the past ten years in various departments across campus spending most of her time in academic departments and is a student herself majoring in Philosophy. She loves being a student advocate and volunteers her time with APO, a service fraternity on campus as a staff advisor. Office: CPSB 101P, 786-4770, email is anajf@uaa.alaska.edu.

Carol Brady, Executive Assistant to the Director of Biological Science, Biological Sciences Dept. Carol joined the Biology Department in January of this year and will be assisting our new Director this coming fall. She has worked in various departments on campus over the past three years, spending time with Social Work and Human Resources. She works with the biology budget and faculty files. Office: CPSB 101N, phone 786-4780, e-mail: anclb2@uaa.alaska.edu.

CHANGES IN BIOLOGY FACULTY

Douglas Causey, Ph.D. is the Biology Department Chair through this summer.  In August, Dr. Fred Rainey will be on board as Director.  More to come!
