    Dr. Langdon has received research grants from several agencies and organizations and has written numerous reports, professional papers, and journal articles related to his particular areas of interest. He is the author of  Native People of Alaska, published in 1988, and the editor of Contemporary Alaska Native Economics, published in 1986. His most recent publications discuss traditional fishing techniques, contemporary fishing economies, and various subsistence activities.

    Dr. Langdon's specialty areas are the tradition, history, and contemporary culture of Alaska Natives, as well as public policy with regard to Alaska Natives.
