Look what's new!  Plates and bowls made from sugar cane fiber (bagasse),  knives, forks and spoons made from corn and potato starch--all heat resistant, completely biodegradable, compostable and reusable--from Loopy Lupine in Homer, AK.   Prices range from $2.95-$7.00 with 50 count per package.  Plantware products are fun, earth friendly, affordable and great to use this summer.

Ellen Bielawski discusses her fascinating book on Alaska. Ellen Bielawski is currently Dean of the School of Native Studies at the University of Alberta. "With this book, journey back to precontact Alaska, when ways of living had not significantly changed for 10,000 years or more."
