Last weekend a group of staff and students from Business Services came together to walk in the 20th Annual Relay for Life. Throughout the past few months they have sold snacks and had a competition in the different areas to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. We are VERY proud to announce that our team (and co-workers) raised $2,098.41 to help with cancer research and care of patients and care givers.

During the 20 hour event the team hung out around a campfire, walked, laughed, held a surprise birthday party, and just had a great time getting to know their fellow co-workers just a little bit better. In addition, two of the teammates each donated 8" of their hair to the Pantene Great Lengths program which makes wigs for cancer patients!

We look forward to having a team again next year and getting a few more of our co-worker involved!

Peanut Butter and Jelly SandwichParking Services participated in the Ton in Ten PB&J food drive that is spearheaded by the Human Services Club and HUMS A390.

The goal of the food drive is to collect a ton of PB&J in ten day. The PB&J collected will be sent directly to non-profit organizations in need of food donations to assist the hungry people in our community.

This year Parking Services collected 1,129 jars of peanut butter and jelly! Which translates to 31,599 ounces OR 1,975 pounds (that is a lot of PB&J).
