This CAFE seminar series is designed to help participants learn about and implement proven best practices in teaching. Participants also form connections with faculty from different departments and colleges with whom they will develop and refine ideas throughout their careers. Seminars are developed and conducted by senior faculty with special expertise in each area.

e-Learning:  Pedagogy in an Online Environment
The arrival of the digital age has seen the evolution of new instructional tools, but how has that influenced the way that we teach and the way students learn? Facilitators G. Andrew Page (College of Education) and Amanda Albright, Instructional Designer in the Faculty Technology Center, will convene a discussion group bi-weekly throughout the Fall 2009 term around Garrison and Vaughn’s Blended Learning in Higher Education (2007).

Mentoring Undergraduates:  Research & Scholarship
The Undergraduate Mentoring Seminar Series will educate faculty about the importance of mentoring undergraduates in research and scholarship and disseminate best known practices regarding undergraduate research.
