IDEA - How to Incorporate Your IDEA Results into your Faculty Evaluation Self Reviews

What should you do with the IDEA results if you have low response rates or your summaries indicate that the results are unreliable and/or unrepresentative?  John Petraitis, Professor of Psychology and Associate Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences will help you understand what this means and provide examples of how you can use these results to document your efforts to continuously examine your effectiveness as an educator.

An Introduction to the SPIN Database

Join Deb Mole, the Consortium Library's Foundation Center Collection Supervisor, as she shows you how to search the SPIN (Sponsored Programs Information Network) database. This database is updated daily with funding announcements from federal and state agencies, and corporate, national, and community foundations. There will be plenty of hands-on time for guided searching and creating your SMARTS/GENIUS profile, an alert system that matches your research interests against the SPIN database and sends customized notifications to your email.

Protecting IP is extremely important, and this seminar will provide illustrations using recent cases in the news.
