There is a new Curriculum Action Request (CAR) Form that must be used for courses.
A Program Action Request (PAR) Form should be used for programs & prefixes.
The Curriculum Handbook was modified in Spring 2009. Bring your paperwork and join UAB/GAB members, and staff from Publications for a short presentation and a hands-on work session.

What You Should Know Before Submitting Sabbatical Leave Applications LIB 302, 8:30-9:30am
Learn how to put together your application for a Sabbatical Leave (Due: Last Monday in September) This session will look at the applications from the perspective of the Grants & Leaves Committee, specifically what they are looking for, how they assign ratings, and how the ratings are presented to the Provost.

Provost's Task Force on Evaluation of Faculty Work for Promotion & Tenure, Post-Tenure Review and Hiring (forum) LIB 307 11:30am - 1:00pm
This session provides an opportunity for all interested faculty to review and comment on the Task Force's draft recommendations regarding faculty evaluation and related promotion and tenure policies. Participants will review and discuss key aspects of the recommendations in small groups to identify strengths and gaps, and make recommendations. How many objectives should I select? What levels should I select? What do they mean? What is the connection between how I fill out the FIF and the end-of-semester report I get from IDEA?
Learn the theory behind the questions and format and determine how to best use the IDEA instrument to help you measure the effects your teaching choices have on the course objectives.
