We will read and discuss Peer Coaching in Higher Education (2009) by Dr. Barbara Gottesman.  A professor in education and educational leadership, Gottesman brought her expertise to UAA in 2007 for a workshop.  Her experiences with us and the insights she gained are included in the book.  Our focus for this session will be on the relationship between the quality of our collegial relationships and student success.

We will continue to read and discuss Peer Coaching in Higher Education (2009) by Dr. Barbara Gottesman.  Our focus for this session will be on how we can implement Colleague-to-Colleague coaching at UAA to enhance the quality of our collegial relationships in light of the positive effect this can have on student success.

Colleague-to-Colleague Peer Coaching Workshop
Friday, March 26
1:00 - 4:00 pm  GHH 103

This workshop will provide an opportunity to gain direct, personal experience with colleague-to-colleague peer coaching centered on each individual’s professional development needs.  One goal will be to emphasize the match between this option and the type of professional development UAA faculty tend to prefer.  Participants will be encouraged to initiate peer coaching relationships with their colleagues.  We will also continue the ongoing process of establishing colleague-to-colleague peer coaching within our culture here at UAA.
