  • Colleague to Colleague Advice - Seven UAA faculty, both new and experienced discuss topics such as: faculty workloads, promotion and tenure, work/life balance and setting the tone for your class. Essential information for faculty new to UAA and/or to teaching!

  • Facilitating Difficult Dialogues in the Classroom - Based on work done through a Ford Foundation grant, this interactive session will introduce several strategies and resources to help faculty effectively engage students on the most important issues of our times.
11:30 - 4:30 pm
  Human Resources Benefits Orientation (lunch served)

  All new UAA faculty must attend Benefits Orientation within 30 days
  of their hire date. This session will include an overview of benefit
  options and other general workplace information.  Necessary forms will
  be provided.  All new faculty will be automatically signed up for this session.
