Academic Success and Support Considerations

UAA offers many academic services that students may not know about. Providing a link to the main support network can be helpful. Academic & Multicultural Student Services

Students Who Experience Disabilities
At the University of Alaska Anchorage, providing equal opportunities for students who experience disabilities is a campus-wide responsibility and commitment. Students who experience disabilities are an important part of our student body. Disability Support Services is responsible for coordinating support services for UAA students who experience disabilities. They offer a wide variety of resources for both students and faculty.

Syllabus Statement To inform students of this department, it is recommended that the following be included in your first-class-session announcements and on your syllabus:
"If you experience a disability and would like information about support services, contact Disability Support Services, located in RH 105 at 786-4530."
Including a link to the DSS homepage is also recommended.
