Culturally Sensitive

This is a three part seminar on "Culturally Sensitive Teaching," dealing primarily with Alaska Native students, although some of the information in the second part deals with working with international students as well.

Part 1

The first part was an overview of Alaska Native cultures, a history of Alaska Native education, and concluded with a working session on developing activities that foster a culturally responsive classroom.

Part 2

During the second workshop, participants heard directly from students what faculty can do to better support their success in higher education.
