Where can I get more information about developing an internship program and hiring UAA students as interns?
We have information on developing and offering internships on our website under the Internships tab. You may also call the UAA Career Services Center's Internship & Experiential Learning Coordinator at 907-786-4513 or email her at snwhaley@uaa.alaska.edu to obtain more information about this great program.
When is the next career fair and how do I register for it?
Find all the information you need on our page dedicated to career fairs!
Is there a charge for using the Career Services Center's resources?
It depends. We try to offer as many resources for employers free of charge, such as the use of our interview rooms for on-campus interviewing, the use of our Career Resource Library for presentations (accommodates up to 30 people), the use of our Online Job Database, and on our posting flyers bulletin boards to advertise the open positions within a company. There is a charge for the following services: career fairs, information booths and sessions held outside of the Career Services Center or special on-campus recruiting events. While we do not collect fees from employers for the internship program, all interns must be paid at least Alaska's minimum wage. CSC also provides optional Partnership Opportunities for companies at different sponsorship levels.
