On-Campus Recruiting
Career Extravaganzas: Set up a booth displaying your company, and let the students know who you are! Participating in this on-campus recruiting activity is a highly beneficial means of recruiting. To sign up for an upcoming career fair, register with the Career Services website.
Presentations: Participating in class presentations is a great way to visit with students in a more private setting. Give them an overview of the company. Highlight any open positions. Make face-to-face contact with potential hires. Presentations are available during the fall and spring semesters only.
Interviewing: The Career Services Center offers you the opportunity to conduct on campus interviews for your open positions in our interview rooms. Our interview rooms are available year-round. Simply register with the Career Services website, then click on the Register for Career Extravaganzas or Interviews link on the Employer Homepage.

Tips for Better Recruiting at UAA
1. Submit registrations for a Career Expo or interview monthes prior to your arrival.
2. Be creative with your booth at the Career Expos. Bring promotional items, candy, and interesting displays.
3. Have energetic recruiters represtenting your table.
4. Provide handout information about your company.
5. Post the open positions that you are recruiting for on-line.
6. Ask how you can advertise your company in our Career Management Guide.
Internships
Internships are a fabulous means to hiring a new student employee. All of our interns are undergraduate and graduate degree seekers.
Student Interns provide employers with cost effective, high quality, enthusiastic employees. Student Interns provide employers with a cost effective means of recruiting and training for the future opening by actual on-the-job performance as a basis for permanent hiring decisions.
Student Internships are a unique form of education that integrates classroom study with paid, planned, and supervised work experience in the public and private sectors.
Student Interns foster a positive company image on campus. Students are ambassadors of goodwill for the company.
Student Internships provide the University curricula with up-to-date changes in the industry via constant input from employers. All Student Internships are credit earning and must be approved by the appropriate school.
