Au Pair/Nanny Positions
"Au Pair" is essentially a fancy name for babysitter. The requirements for taking advantage of the opportunity vary by country. If you have babysitting experience and enjoy working with children this can be an ideal way to live inexpensively in a foreign country and experience the culture by taking classes or traveling. For more information on study abroad opportunities visit the UAA Office of International Affairs.
As with any other opportunity, always research the program thoroughly to avoid scams or misrepresentation. Here are some Au Pair programs, and sites that list opportunities, however, it is not a comprehensive list. These programs span the globe and most have a formal application process, so review their requirements accordingly.
