Biography
Jaime Spatrisano is a doctoral student in the UAA Clinical-Community
Psychology Ph.D. Program. She was born and raised in Lansing, Michigan
and earned her B.S. in Psychology, French and Criminal Justice (with a
minor in Social Psychology) from Western Michigan University in
Kalamazoo, MI in 2007. She originally moved up to Anchorage, AK in 2010
for the UAA Clinical Psychology M.S. Program, but decided to stick out
the cold for at least another five years in the Ph.D. program. Over the
course of her studies she found she is most passionate when working in
areas related to social justice, institutionalized discrimination and
minority or marginalized populations (e.g. refugee, LGBT). In her spare
time she enjoys playing rugby for the Arctic Foxes Women's Rugby Club,
hiking, cross-country skiing/skijoring and exploring new places and
cultures.
