BBA in Marketing

The BBA in Marketing provides an overview of the promotion, selling, and distribution of services and/or goods to consumers. Because the needs of individuals vary from person to person and culture to culture, marketing major will study consumer behavior, communications, advertising strategies, and various approaches to successful retail management. Majors in this field will be expected to understand the basics of marketing research and sales forecasting.

The study of marketing applies to businesses in a global system. A variety of electives are available that will add to a student's awareness of worldwide marketing strategies. A minor in management information systems, communications, psychology, or a foreign language are recommended.

Students graduating with a BBA in Marketing typically find employment in fields such as promotions and advertising, purchasing and distribution, market research and forecasting, consulting, or entry-level marketing jobs within corporations and retail organizations.
