Applicants must meet both Admission Requirement to Master's Degree and the College of Business and Public Policy requirement outlined here. Admission to the MBA program is limited to students who have earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited university, or foreign equivalent in general, two formulas are used to access an applicant potential success in the MBA program - undergraduate performance as measured by GPA on a 4.0 scale and the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score:

GMAT Requirements 

1. Undergraduate GPA X 200 + GMAT > 1150
    or
2. Upper division GPA X 200 + GMAT > 1200

GMAT waivers may be considered for an applicant meeting any of the following criteria

1. Hold another master's degree from an accredited university.
2. Have professional designation beyond a baccalaureate (such as CPA, CFA)
3. Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.50 or higher

If an applicant is not eligible for a GMAT waiver, admission will be deferred until he or she submits an examination score

TOEFL
Applicants whose native language is not English must score at least a 79-80 IBT on the TOEFL examination or IELTS (minimum score of 6-6.5). Alternate documentation of English proficiency, such as previous study in a U.S. institution or alternate test scores may be considered on a case-by-case basis. Student may apply to enter the program at the beginning of either the fall or spring semester.

Additional indicators for predicting success in individual cases may be provided through:

1. Documented performance in extracurricular activities
2. Evidence of creativity and leadership
3. Or a record of accomplishment in business or other professional activity

 

Additional Requirements

Each applicant must submit the following to the UAA Office of Admission as part of their application materials:

1. Application and application fee
2. Essay (statement of purpose)
3. Resume (including three references)
4. All transcripts from prior colleges
