Gorsuch Commons is the heart of the UAA residential complex, serving as a gathering and information center. Within the commons, facilities include:

- Three versatile conference/meeting rooms
- A computer lab
- The Student Housing Office/ Information Desk
- The Creekside Eatery – dining facility
- The Bear Necessities convenience store
- A cardio-fitness center

Other amenities include a fireside gathering area, and a recreation area with a large-screen television, games and a pool table.

The Commons front desk is staffed from 8 a.m. to 12 midnight on Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 12 midnight on Saturday and Sunday.
