UAA is conveniently located in mid-town Anchorage, approximately 6 miles from Ted Stevens International Airport and within fifteen minutes driving time from from most Anchorage tourist attractions, dining establishments, and recreational facilities.


The Housing Commons, Residence Halls and Apartments are located just off Elmore Road, in the southeastern part of the main campus.

Driving Directions to campus housing-

From Airport:
- Exit the airport onto W. International Airport Road.
- Go east on Intn'l Airport Road to the exit for Minnesota Drive.
- Take exit for northbound Minnesota Drive, towards Downtown
- At first stoplight, turn right onto Tudor Road
- Go approximately 3.5 miles on Tudor Road, then
- Turn left onto Elmore Road (stoplight just before pedestrian bridge).
- Look for UAA Housing signs, and turn left onto Sharon Gagnon Lane.

From Downtown:
- Take Gambell Street (becomes New Seward Highway) south, approximately 2.5 miles.
- Take ramp for Tudor Road, turn left (east) and go approx 1.8 miles.
- Turn left onto Elmore Road (stoplight just before pedestrian bridge).
- Look for UAA Housing signs, and turn left onto Sharon Gagnon Lane.
