Project Engineer/Assistant Project Manager

Project Intern/Assistant

Quality Control Manager/Assistant Project Manager

Weldin Construction LLC is looking for a Quality Control Manager/Assistant Project Manager. Candidates can include both recent graduates and upper-level CM program students. The individual must be willing to work 40+ hours and spend the majority of the summer out of the Anchorage area. Construction Superintendent

Davis Constructors and Engineers, Inc. is seeking a construction superintendent with 10 years supervisory experience in the field of commercial construction for a project in Fairbanks. Industrial Construction experience working with a large team is preferred. Looking for self-motivated, take-charge leader to supervise all phases of construction, including: self-performed labor, subcontractors, inspection, QC, safety and housekeeping procedures. Proven success of completing projects with an emphasis on quality and bolstering subcontractor/client relations required. Competency with MS Office and good written and verbal communication skills required.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Organizes and allocates the workforces in various areas to maintain manpower balance for scheduled construction activities.
  • Monitors manpower requirements, efficiency, and productivity of construction crews.
  • Coordinates the material and equipment requirements with planned engineering and construction schedules.
  • Provides technical direction in construction methods to craft supervisors and foremen to attain required quality control.″Assists in the selection and designation of craft foremen.
  • Verifies layouts with field engineers and ensures craftsmen maintain the established horizontal and vertical controls.
  • Coordinates work efforts between various subcontractors and company workforce.″Maintains production controls and verifies the construction progress at prescribed intervals.
  • Communication with Owner, A/E Team, and project stakeholders.
  • Understands and applies the company labor relations policies.

Quality Control System Manager

Davis Constructors and Engineers, Inc. is seeking a Quality Control System Manager for United States Army Corps of Engineers projects. Prior Corps QCSM experience required. Corps QCM Certificate and a minimum of five years construction experience absolutely required. The QCSM shall be responsible for overall management of the CQC. The CQC System Manager shall be on the site at all times during construction.

Additional qualifications include: degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture OR Engineering Technical with two years of college and an ICC certification as a Commercial Building Inspector (Residential Building Inspector certification will be required for Military Family housing projects); Experience in P6 Scheduling software;and prior RMS/QCS Software experience.

Responsibilities include performing quantity take-offs/surveys and pricing for all CSI divisions and compiling the information in cost estimates; senior estimator position may also perform construction progress inspections and render cost opinions for local construction lenders. Degree in engineering or construction management is helpful but not required.
