Alaska Direct Service Workers (DSWs) Survey Report
Alaska Direct Service Workers Survey Report (2009)UAA Center for Human Development (CHD) conducted a survey of direct
service workers (DSWs) in Alaska for the Workforce Development
Initiative Recruitment and Retention Committee sponsored by the Alaska
Mental Health Trust Authority. The survey targeted DSWs who work with
people with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease and related
dementia, chemical dependence, chronic alcoholism, mental illness, and
traumatic brain injury. The goal of the survey was to develop a profile
of job satisfaction and the influence of employment benefits on job
recruitment and retention. | |
