Biography

30 + years working in the Disability profession.  Foster parent for a child with Complex Medical Conditions.  Career interest area has always been working with people with challenging behaviors.

Education

BS, Applied Behavior Analysis from Western Michigan University, 1977.

Career History

A little bit of everything from changing diapers to administering programs for the state, and most things in between.  I have always been interested in working with people with challenging behaviors, and have spent a lot of time working with supported employment, customized and self-employment, and disability benefits planning and management.

Teaching Responsibilites

Administer and teach two courses (Teaching Social Skills to Youth, and Positive Behavioral Supports) in the Children's Behavioral Health Occupational Endorsement Certificate program.

Professional and Departmental Service

Program Director for Children's Behavioral Health;  Coordinate and teach for the Children's Behavioral Health OEC (academic) program.  I also work on other projects including Person Centered Planning, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Waiver, Positive Behavior Supports.  Most projects are workforce development programs that provide training and technical assistance  for Direct Service Professionals in the disability profession.
