This literature review was prepared in December 2010 for Stone Soup Group, a statewide nonprofit agency providing assistance and support to families of children with special needs. The report reviews information about national and Alaskan post-school outcomes and needs for support strategies to assist parents of youth with disabilities transitioning from high school to adult life. It includes consideration of the self-determination movement, culture, race/ethnicity, and social economics. An appendix lists online transition resources.
