2013 Chinese Talent Show
UAA Confucius Institute is hosting "Chinese Talent Show" on Friday, April 26th. To help promote Chinese culture,stimulate students' enthusiasm in learning Chinese, and develop friendship. The Talent Show is for students who are interested in Chinese language and culture.There will not be specific criteria in regards to the type of performances, e.g. your students can perform Chinese dances, sing songs, calligraphy, poetry readings, etc. The Talent Show will consist of two sections. The first section will be intended for college students and high school students；the second section for middle school students and elementary school students.Please refer to the detailed information below.

9:00am-11:30am-- First section: UAA, UAF, BartlettHigh, Sitka high.
1:00pm-3:30pm--Second section: Begich Middle school, Scenic Park Elementary
School and ACAYen Wulin Chinese School
All local adults and children who wants to participate the event are welcome.
The Talent Show will be held at UAA main campus（3211 Providence Drive）, Student Union, Den.(The Den is located inside the StudentUnion, on the lower level, there will be signs and posters of the event in thebuilding near the Den)

The deadline of registration is March 25th.
Section one: please arrive at UAA DEN between 8:30am-8:50am.
Section two: please arrive at UAA DEN between 12:30pm-12:50pm.
Travel and lodging of UAF and Sitka High will becovered by UAA CI. CI will also send buses to pick up students at Bartlett highschool and Begich middle school if needed. Please contact Jiqing Wang(firstname.lastname@example.org or 907-786-4699) to confirm the number of people, and the schedules for flights and buses (Deadline: April 12th). Scenic ParkElementary school students will most likely be transported by school buses. Students from UAA and ACA Yen Wulin Chinese school students are encouraged to arrange transportation on their own due to the various locations of the performers. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

What we learned from last year's talent show is that we need to set up the Den as atheatre. This way the audience will have a better view to enjoy the show.Unfortunately there will only be chairs and no tables due to these changes.Teachers and students, you are more than welcome to stay at the Den or thestudent union cafeteria for lunch after getting your lunch bags.
This"Chinese Talent Show" is a friendly event, its main purpose is to encouragestudents to learn and enjoy Chinese culture. Every performer will get a medal, acertificate and a prize from UAA-CI！
Dear friends, there is time ahead of the event for preparations. However, we stillneed to work out some details that require your cooperation. Also, ifunexpected happenings occur that cause some minor changes in regards to theorder of the performance program, we will highly appreciate your understanding.We will keep you updated.
