POSTING POLICIES

Please adhere to the following rules for posting signs and flyers on campus:

All materials must: 

• Contain the name of the recognized student organization or department clearly identified as the sponsoring group
• Avoid the use of obscene or offensive language or illustrations.  Demonstrate sensitivity to social concerns, such as sexism and racist. 
• Not promote the use of alcohol beverages or drugs.
• Be removed in a timely manner

The following posting policies apply to all campus buildings. 

• Appropriate posting areas:  designated bulletin boards, sandwich boards, and designated columns in the spines.  
• Inappropriate posting areas:  painted walls, wood, glass (windows and doorways), door frames, ceilings, bathrooms, the floor, railings, balconies, stairs, or vending machines (and in vending machine rooms).

Only one copy of each sign may be posted in designated areas.  Extra copies and postings found in inappropriate areas will be removed immediately.

Please note the following exceptions:

The Commons, residence halls, MAC, and Templewood apartments:  

A member of Residence Life (751-7444) or University Housing (751-7200) must approve all postings.   Flyers must be hung with blue or green masking tape.  Flyers may not be posted on or slid under individual room doors, apartments, or suite doors.

Is your club going somewhere? Staying over night for a retreat or paying registration for a conference? If so, you need to fill out the Travel Application.
