Occupational endorsements are certificates requiring 29 or fewer credits to complete. These certificates provide the specialized knowledge and skills needed in specific employment sectors.

The Computer Information & Office Systems program offers the following occupational endorsement certificates.

Office Foundations - Provides foundational skills required for entry into the administrative office professional field (9 credits).

Office Support - Builds on the Office Foundations OEC with additional skills an administrative assistant would typically use in an office setting. Prerequisite: Office Foundations OEC. (13 credits)

Corporate Specified Skills - Enables employers to target skill sets needed for positions within a specific business or industry. Consulting with a faculty advisor, students will complete a study plan, which will formally establish the specific program requirements. The study plan becomes official once it is approved by the department chair and is filed with Enrollment Management. (19 credits)

Suspended Occupational Endorsement Certificates

The following OECs are under suspension as of Spring 2013 The department will not be admitting any new students to them.

  • Bookkeeping (14 credits)
  • Medical Office Support (15 credits)
  • Office Digital Media (15 credits)
  • Technical Support (13 credits)
