Unit policies on student services such as counseling and advising

 

College of Education

All candidates admitted to a department are assigned a faculty advisor. For undergraduate initial teacher programs in the Department of Teaching and Learning, candidates are advised by the COE Academic Success Coordinator prior to admission to the department.

COE offers student advising, supports recruitment and retention, and provides clinical and licensure services. Information is available on the Student Services page of the COE website.
 

University of Alaska Anchorage

Information on advising and academic support can be found in Chapter 6 of the UAA Catalog.

UAA is committed to a comprehensive approach to serving current and prospective university students. Evidence of this commitment can be seen in the variety of services available.

The Advising and Testing Center provides academic and career advising, testing and assessment services, and courses and other supports for college readiness.

Comprehensive counseling services are available from the Student Health and Counseling Center.

The UAA Graduate School provides additional supports for students, particularly those completing graduate theses.

The Learning Resources Center provides a variety of services to help university students succeed.

Disability Support Services provides excellent support to university students experiencing disabilities.
