Early Childhood Development Certificate

The Early Childhood Program at UAA blends theory and practice with the aim of preparing early childhood educators with the skills necessary to deliver quality care and education for young children from birth through age eight years. The Early Childhood Development Certificate Program prepares paraeducators and other professionals to work in early care and education settings. The program was developed to meet the National Association for the Education of Young Children guidelines for personnel preparation.

This certificate requires the completion of 34 credits, which may be applied to the Early Childhood Associate of Applied Science.
