Role of Assessment and Accreditation

Assessment is a vital element of any College of Education. Through assessment and accreditation processes, we continually self-evaluate and maintain state and national recognition of our programs. This page contains information about assessment and accreditation at all levels of COE function.
 
 
Assessment and Accreditation Committee

This committeeprovides leadership and coordinates college-level assessment activities. The bylaws, agendas and minutes are available on the COE shared drive.

2009-2010 members are: Dean Konopasek (Chair), Pat Chesbro, Jim Seitz, Brian Brubaker (data manager),  Jeff Bailey (ex-officio), Jim Powell (ex-officio), Donna Gail Shaw (ex-officio).

 


NCATE

National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) provides national recognition of the College of Education as a whole.  We received initial accreditation in 2005.

University level Assessment

All College programs maintain a program effectiveness assessment plan for which they collect data, analyze, and report annually.  Plans and reports may be found here .
