Additional Information

• You must R.S.V.P. to participate in the Hooding Ceremony. Due to the growing number of students participating in the Hooding Ceremony, and in order to accommodate their families and friends in the Wendy Williamson Auditorium, faculty attending the ceremony will be seated on the stage. Please be sure to R.S.V.P. now so that we know how many chairs will be needed.
  
  
• Regalia is required for faculty participating in the processional.
  
  
• Please assemble in the Wendy Williamson dressing room 109 (click for map), accessible through the PSB main hallway, no later than 9:45 a.m.
  
  
• A reception for faculty, students, family and friends will immediately follow the ceremony in the atrium of Rasmuson Hall.

Commencement Ceremony

Time and date
Sunday, May 6, 2011 Ceremony begins at 3 p.m. and concludes at approximately 5:30 p.m.

Location
George M. Sullivan Arena, 1600 Gambell Street, Anchorage, Alaska

When to Arrive
You are encouraged to arrive as early as 2:00 p.m., but no later than 2:30 p.m. as the ceremony begins at 3:00 p.m. sharp.  You are invited to visit with students, parents, as well as network with other faculty members at the Faculty Lounge. There will be refreshments, appetizers and greeters ready to advise you on the program details.
 
Where to Report
Report to the Northeast corner of the Sullivan Arena (view interior map).
 
Parking and Transportation
Parking at the Sullivan is limited, so you may wish to take the UAA Shuttle.  UAA will provide continuous shuttle service every 15 minutes from the UAA Student Union to the Sullivan Arena and back. The first shuttle departs the UAA Student Union at 1:45 p.m. After the ceremony, the shuttle will resume. The first post-ceremony shuttle will depart from the Sullivan Arena 15 minutes after the ceremony ends. Shuttle service will continue until 7 p.m.
