The Allied Health Sciences Division is part of the Community and Technical College at UAA. Allied Health Science professionals are involved with the delivery of health or related services pertaining to the identification, evaluation and prevention of diseases and disorders, rehabilitation, and health systems management, among others.

Our Allied Health programs are designed to prepare graduates for work in rewarding careers in Alaska’s rapidly growing healthcare industry. Each program provides experiential education with students working alongside health professionals in real-work situations.

We have certificate and degree programs including occupational endorsement certificates, associate's degrees, bachelor's degrees, and continuing educational opportunities for trained allied health professionals.

New and Current Dental Patients

To set up an appointment with our Dental Hygiene Clinic, please contact the clinic receptionist at (907) 786-6960 or annyh@uaa.alaska.edu.  Dental Hygiene clinic services include teeth cleaning, dental exams, and x-rays.  Click HERE to find out more.

Due to the high demand of our dental assising clinic services, we are no longer activiely setting up appointments for patients.  All patients who are interested in getting services in our facilities will be put on a call list for the first available appointment.  To find out if you qualify for services provided at our Dental Assisting Clinic, please contact Karen Geer at (907) 786-6943 or anksg1@uaa.alaska.edu or Cindy Armstrong at afcla@uaa.alaska.edu .  Services include exams, x-rays, and fillings for a minimal fee. Click HERE to find out more.
