Students must have a clinical site in order to participate in this program.  The clinical site must have a PA, Radiologist or Registered Radiographer on staff.

How do I Apply?


Students are required to apply for admission to the University of Alaska Anchorage as a non-degree seeking student. Please choose the Limited Radiography Occupational Endorsement Certificate as your major.

The Limited Radiography Occupational Endorsement Certificate is only offered by distance delivery. Students must contact the Medical Imaging Sciences Department to arrange for a mentor and clinical training facility prior to enrolling in any of these courses.

Program Prerequisites

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be at lest 18 years of age
  • Pre-algebra skills
  • English proficiency - must have command of the English language
  • Computer skills - must have excellent computer skills to include opening and attaching documents, navigating websites, and sending email.

Track for Completion

NOTE: Students must take RADT A101 before they can register for any other courses in the sequence.

Recommended Sequence:

  • RADT A101 - 3 credits - Radiation Protection and Biology for Limited Radiography Professionals
  • RADT A102 - 3 credits - Principles of Radiography for Limited Practice I
  • RADT A103 - 3 credits - Principles of Radiography for Limited Practice II
  • RADT A104 - 2 credits - Principles of Radiography for Limited Practice III
