Review of Applications
Selection of candidates is based on review of the paper application and an interview. Applications are initially reviewed to determine whether they meet the 3 required criteria: admissions to UAA, completion of all prerequisite courses with a ‘C’ or better, and a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above. If an applicant does not fulfill these three requirements, it will not be considered. Furthermore, if any section of the application is not complete or is omitted, the application will be considered incomplete and it will not be reviewed.
The paper application is graded using a point system using information from the applicants cumulative GPA prerequisite GPA, completion of general education requirements, completion of clinical observations, and essays. Top tier candidates are offered an interview.
Interviews
Selected applicants will be interviewed by a panel of seven to ten imaging professionals from the university and the community. The applicant must personally appear to the panel in Anchorage or Fairbanks for their interview. Arrangements will be made for a video conference interview in Ketchikan, Juneau, Bethel, and Kenai. Students who are absolutely unable to attend an interview in person may arrange for a phone interview. Please contact the program assistant.
