CTC Planning Criteria

Criteria: Available Job Openings - 2002-2012 (weight - 25)

Definition: A blending of the number of job openings predicted to be created 2002-2012 according to SOA DOL report and the extent to which accessible competitors are available that are sufficient to meet demand

  • 5 - >150 openings and no competitor
  • 4 - >150 and competitor
  • 3 - 75-150 openings and no competitor
  • 2 - 75-150 openings and competitor
  • 1 <75 openings and no competitor

Criteria: Facilitates Student Success (weight - 25)

Definition: contributes to preparation, retention, completion rate, employability and students achieving their goals

  • 5 - Very High
  • 4 - High
  • 3 - Moderate
  • 2 - Low
  • 1 - Very Low

Criteria: Additional UA Resources Required/Sustainability (weight - 20)

Definition: Funding and other resources from the General Fund are required annually now or after external funding expires

  • 5 - None
  • 4 - $1 - $100,000
  • 3 - $100,000 - $200,000
  • 2 - $200,000 - $300,000
  • 1 - >$300,000

Criteria: Outside Resources/Collaboration Committed (weight - 15)

Definition: Potential for pledge of resources from within UA/or industry resulting in savings/cost reduction to CTC

  • 5 - All resources supplied through collaboration
  • 4 - Collaboration has resulting in commitment of resources by UA and industry to support program
  • 3 - Collaboration has resulted in commitment of UA resources to support program
  • 2 - Demonstrated collaboration with other UA programs
  • 1 - No collaboration

Criteria: Contributes to Distinction (weight - 15)

Definition: Innovative program design and quality of program leading to setting a standard in your field

  • 5 - Both design and delivery plan are highly innovative
  • 4- Both design and delivery plan are innovative, one highly innovative
  • 3 - Both design and delivery plan are innovative
  • 2 - Either design or delivery plans are innovative
  • 1 - Uses well established existing methods
