State Fair Participation Form

The Community & Technical College is invited to participate in the UAA State Fair cabin each August to showcase our programs and promote the university to the public. This year, we will be staffing the cabin from noon to 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 30. We need approximately 15 volunteers to participate that day.

What are the benefits of volunteering?

  • A free parking pass
  • A free entrance ticket
  • Paid mileage to and from fair grounds (at current UAA rate)

The cabin is outfitted with chairs and tables and will be stocked with college and university brochures, scholarship information, prizes, and display items to aid you in answering questions that may arise from fair visitors. The cabin does have electricity, and general Wi-Fi access at the fair is available through MTA.

Directions

If you would like to volunteer for a shift in the cabin, please complete the online form below. Each volunteer must complete the form individually. Volunteers will be organized on a first come, first served basis. Note: Volunteers are responsible for securing permission from their supervisor to participate.
