
The Automotive Technology Certificate can be completed in 4 semesters. Graduates may move into such fields as automotive service writer, service manager, parts sales, parts management, fleet management or other automotive technology related fields using the latest in technology.
All Automotive programs are NATEF certified. All faculty are ASE certified.

Upon graduation, you will be able to:
- Understand the theory of automobile engine operation with emphasis on modern vehicle engines.
- Demonstrate proper diagnosis and repair techniques for automobile engines with emphasis on modern vehicle engines.
- Understand the theory of automatic transmissions and transaxles.
- Demonstrate diagnosis and repair of automatic transmissions and transaxles.
- Proficient in the theory, operation, diagnosis, & repair of automotive engines: steering, suspension, & alignment; manual drive trains; HVAC; electrical & electronics; and brakes.
- Understand the theory of suspension and steering on modern vehicles applications.
- Demonstrate diagnosis and repair of suspension and steering on modern vehicle applications.
- Understand the theory of brake systems and their application on modern vehicles.
- Demonstrate proper diagnosis and repair techniques for brake systems used on modern vehicles.
- Understand the theory of electrical/electronic systems and their application on modern vehicles.
- Demonstrate proper diagnosis and repair techniques for electrical/electronic systems.
- Understand the theory of automotive heating, air conditioning, and climate control, on modern vehicles applications.
- Demonstrate proper diagnosis and repair techniques for heating and air conditioning systems, on modern vehicle applications.
- Understand the theory of fuel and ignition systems on modern vehicle engines.
- Demonstrate diagnosis of fuel and ignition systems on modern vehicle engines.
