Career opportunities for Diesel Technology graduates include manufacturer and independent repair shops, fleets, construction, mining, aviation ground support, and the seafood processing industry. The certificate in Heavy Duty Transportation & Equipment can be completed in five (5) semesters, including one summer semester of practicum.

• Understand the theory of suspension and steering on medium- and heavy-duty vehicle applications.
• Understand the theory of electrical/electronic systems and their application on medium- and heavy-duty applications.
• Demonstrate proper diagnosis and repair techniques for electrical/electronic systems on medium- and heavy-duty applications.
• Understand the theory of air conditioning, and climate control, on modern vehicle applications.
