Tuition & Fees
The cost of going to college is an important consideration when deciding about your academic and professional career. The costs below represent the expenses associated with each of our four academic programs. The university has different cost structures depending on a student's status as an Alaskan resident, as a nonresident, or as a nonresident under the WUE program.
Lower Division - Undergraduate (course numbers 0-299)
Resident $128 per credit hour
Nonresident $427 per credit hour
Upper Division - Undergraduate (course numbers 300-499)
Resident $144 per credit hour
Nonresident $443 per credit hour
Registered students also pay Student Fees ranging from $34 to $232 per semester depending on course load.

WUE
Alaska is one of fifteen participating states in the Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) program. Residents of CO, HI, ID, MT, NV, NM, ND, OR, SD, UT, WA, and WY are eligible to pay the WUE tuition rate at UAA (resident tuition plus 50%). A student should indicate on their Application for Admission that they would like to use WUE for tuition purposes.
