Project Jump Start:

 

Preparing the next generation of supervisors, foremen, and trainers.

 

 

Project Highlights

  • Earn an AAS in Apprenticeship Technologies at UAA, UAF, or UAS.
  • Select classes that help you develop skills as a supervisor, crew leader, or trainer.
  • Tuition assistance for selected participants through the Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development, Office of Apprenticeship.
  • Classes available at UAA, UAF, UAS, and AVTEC.

 

Participant Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Certificate of completion from a registered apprenticeship (in an AGIA occupation)
  • 3-5 years post-apprentice experience
  • Currently employed or on seasonal lay-off (with expectation of rehire)
  • Employer letter of recommendation

 

Application Deadline: December 1, 2009
