Chef Vern and his students present
"Chocolate 101" at the UAA Bookstore

Chef Vern and his students talked chocolate to over 70 chocoholics at the UAA Bookstore on Thursday, 19 November, providing information on different varieties and preparation, lots of samples, and door prizes of department mugs filled with chocolate truffles.  This yearly event is always popular, open to all, and a  great opportunity for students to demonstrate their skills under Chef Vern's expertise.

2009 Culinary and Bakery Boot Camp

Culinary and Bakery Boot Camps consist of week long sessions, where the students learn the art of bread and cake making, knife skills, and meat preparation, along with many other quick and simple food preparations.  At the end of each day our students take home plenty of their culinary creations for the family to enjoy!
